On May 23, the 2018 global service outsourcing Conference (Nantong) summit opened. More than 200 well-known global information technology, financial services, cultural creativity, pharmaceutical R & D and cloud computing service enterprises gathered in Nantong to discuss the new trend and new space of service outsourcing development in the new era.

Outstanding achievements in service outsourcing

"In the first quarter of 2018, the amount of service outsourcing contracts undertaken by China was 265.99 billion yuan, up 15% year-on-year; among them, the offshore service outsourcing contract amount was 168.03 billion yuan, and the implementation amount was 103.39 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 13.6% and 10.6% respectively."

With the expansion of the breadth and depth of China's opening to the outside world, the scope of China's service outsourcing is also expanding, covering more than 200 countries and regions on five continents, and 130 countries and regions with service outsourcing execution value exceeding 100 million yuan. China's service outsourcing market is developing steadily.

In the era of intelligence

At present, driven by a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation represented by digital technology and artificial intelligence, human society will enter a new and unknown intelligent era.

Ernst Goldman, the global vice president of the group, expressed concern about the future of the service outsourcing industry in the new era.

Artificial intelligence has reshaped the service outsourcing supply chain and changed the trade pattern, forcing outsourcing enterprises to seek transformation. Zhang Dongwei, global senior vice president of Wensi Haihui group, pointed out that if an enterprise wants to transform, it needs to cross the four thresholds of scene confusion, data shortage, talent dilemma and capital investment. It's a big challenge.

The intelligent era challenges the service outsourcing enterprises, but also contains development opportunities.

Information and communication technology is considered to be one of the most powerful driving forces to promote the development of the new century. For this reason, many countries have proposed the digital transformation development plan, such as Singapore's "smart country 2025", Malaysia digital intelligence and China's "Internet plus" strategy. Gregory fox, vice president of Huawei Technology Co., Ltd., believes that this means unlimited business opportunities for service outsourcing enterprises.

At the same time, the development of artificial intelligence also gave birth to new formats and models of service outsourcing. He Zheng, vice president of AsiaInfo group, said that with the explosive growth of network tools, network security has been paid more and more attention by enterprises and public sectors, and service outsourcing has a huge development space in this field. Peng Tao, vice president of Zhejiang University network new group, believes that the application of big data will transform the service outsourcing mode to "the contractor actively looks for the employer".

China serves the world

In the past 10 years, China's service outsourcing enterprises have grown from more than 500 to more than 40000, and the number of employees has increased from 60000 to 8.65 million, becoming the second largest service outsourcing country in the world. For a long time, Chinese outsourcing enterprises have provided complete and mature outsourcing services for the world.

In July 2017, China issued the new generation of artificial intelligence development plan, which plans to reach the world's leading level in theory, technology and application of artificial intelligence by 2030. This has attracted the attention of Edward Wright, executive partner of otimus Partners Limited. He believes that this will help China become the world's leading artificial intelligence innovation center and give birth to a large number of AI service outsourcing enterprises.

At present, China's economy is transforming from industry oriented to service-oriented. China's service outsourcing is facing an important period of development opportunities and great development potential.
